Summary
The inaugural Transdisciplinary Academic Conference for Emerging Scholars brought together budding researchers to explore knowledge beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. Centered on three key themes—Discourse and Humanity, Saga and Statecraft, and Mind and Innovation—the conference fostered dynamic discussions through presentations and panel sessions.
Prof. Javier Cha (University of Hong Kong) delivered a keynote on "Automating the Past: Artificial Intelligence and the Next Frontiers of Digital History," exploring the fusion of big data and humanities in historical research.
24 undergraduate researchers from Hong Kong, New Zealand, France, Korea, and beyond showcased transdisciplinary projects spanning psychology, history, and more. Their work exemplified innovative methodologies, merging multiple disciplines to tackle real-world challenges.
The conference celebrated transdisciplinary scholarship, encouraging intellectual exchange and collaborative problem-solving among emerging academics.
