TRACES is thrilled to celebrate the success of our latest Transdisciplinary Research Workshop, held at St Paul's College on Mar 22 during the Careers Day 2025. We extend our deepest gratitude to the school, SPCAA, and the brilliant students who embraced the challenge of thinking beyond academic boundaries. This workshop was a testament to TRACES’ mission: to empower students with the skills to think critically, write effectively, and engage in transdisciplinary research - bridging diverse fields to solve real-world problems.
Through a four-stage hands-on experience, students explored how different disciplines intersect, developed original research ideas, and honed their ability to communicate complex concepts:
Identifying Passions – Students selected two academic fields of personal interest.
Collaborative Brainstorming – Working in pairs, they combined their interests to create a transdisciplinary research focus.
AI-Assisted Research – Students used AI tools to refine their research questions and methodologies while discussing ethical considerations.
The Elevator Pitch – Each team crafted a 60-second pitch to present their research focus, demonstrating its significance and impact.
The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the students reaffirm TRACES’ commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and innovation in education. By equipping students with the tools to think beyond conventional academic silos, we aim to cultivate the next generation of researchers, problem solvers, and leaders.
This workshop is just the beginning - stay tuned for future collaborations, events, and opportunities to join TRACES in redefining the future of research and education!
